Police Detain Suspect After Northside Commercial Robbery

JACKSONVILLE, FL — Detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) are investigating a commercial robbery that occurred on the city's Northside on Saturday afternoon.

According to initial JSO reports, officers responded to a call regarding a robbery at a local business. A male suspect reportedly entered the establishment, demanded money, and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported during the encounter.

Suspect Detained

Shortly after the incident occurred, JSO patrol units saturated the area and located a man matching the suspect's description. The individual was detained for questioning in connection with the heist. Officers recovered a portion of the stolen funds during the initial apprehension.
