Police dog tracks burglary suspect in Reading area

Two vans were reported stolen from a commercial property on the night of Saturday, 18 April.

Warwickshireworld reports that one of the stolen vehicles failed to stop for police, leading to a coordinated pursuit involving traffic units, armed response, and the National Police Air Service. The van was eventually located abandoned in an industrial estate. Upon arrival, officers deployed Police Dog Storm to search the area. The dog tracked a path from the vehicle into nearby fields, where she successfully located the hidden ignition keys. Continuing the track across a road, Storm eventually discovered the suspect attempting to conceal themselves in a bush. A subsequent search of the area led to the recovery of a second set of keys. The suspect was apprehended, and both sets of keys for the stolen vehicles were secured.
