Attempted residential burglaries in Fishponds

According to an article published by Bristolpost on 11 November 2025, Avon and Somerset Police are investigating reports of a man attempting to enter private homes in the Fishponds area of East Bristol. The incidents reportedly took place at approximately 2am on Monday, November 10, on College Road.

Bristolpost reports that in one instance, a man attempted to enter a property, though no damage was caused and nothing was stolen. A second resident subsequently contacted the police to report seeing a man attempting to open a door handle on the same road at around the same time. The individual was described as wearing a rain jacket and a scarf covering his face.

Police are currently conducting enquiries and have appealed for anyone with relevant CCTV or doorbell footage to contact the force, quoting log number AS-20251110-0347. Residents are encouraged to ensure all doors and windows are securely locked, especially during night-time hours.
