Police Investigate Robbery at South Side's Iconic Ricobene's Restaurant

CHICAGO — Chicago police are actively investigating a robbery that took place at Ricobene's, a historic restaurant and staple of the city's South Side culinary scene. The incident occurred on October 31, 2024, prompting a quick response from law enforcement officers.

Known for its legendary breaded steak sandwiches and decades-long presence in the neighborhood, Ricobene's was targeted during business hours. Details regarding the exact circumstances of the robbery, including whether a weapon was brandished or if the suspect targeted the cash register or individual patrons, are still being clarified by investigators.
