Police K9 Unit Successfully Tracks Down Burglary Suspect in Brighton

BRIGHTON, East Sussex — A burglary suspect was successfully apprehended in Brighton thanks to the rapid deployment and tracking abilities of a police handler and their police dog.

Officers were dispatched to the scene immediately after receiving reports of an ongoing break-in. Upon arrival, the suspect had already fled the property on foot. A police dog was deployed to track the scent from the point of entry.

Following a track through local gardens and alleys, the canine led officers directly to the suspect, who was found hiding nearby. The suspect was arrested without further incident and remains in custody pending charges.
