Police Launch Investigation After Woman Robbed of Handbag in Crewe Alleyway

Cheshire Police have launched a full investigation following a robbery in Crewe where a woman was targeted and stripped of her personal belongings in a local alleyway.

The victim was walking along the pedestrian walkway when she was suddenly approached by an unidentified suspect. The offender forcefully grabbed and snatched her handbag before fleeing the area on foot. The victim was left shaken by the ordeal, though no physical injuries were reported.

Officers have been carrying out patrols in the surrounding area and are reviewing CCTV footage to trace the suspect's movements. Detectives are eager to speak to anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the alleyway around the time of the incident and noticed anyone acting suspiciously.

"This was a distressing incident for the victim, and we are committed to identifying the person responsible," said a spokesperson for the local policing unit. "We urge anyone with information, or who may have captured relevant footage on home security systems or dashcams, to contact us."
