Police Launch Witness Appeal After Burglary at Havant Vodafone Store
Hampshire Constabulary has launched an appeal for witnesses and information following a commercial burglary at the Vodafone retail store located in Havant. The incident, which has prompted an active investigation, has led officers to call on members of the public who may have been in the vicinity at the time of the break-in.
According to police reports, the burglary occurred recently, with officers arriving at the scene to assess the damage and compile initial evidence. Retail stores, particularly those stocking high-value electronic items like smartphones and tablets, are frequent targets for organized thefts, and police are treating this incident with high priority.
Investigating officers are keen to speak with anyone who was near the Havant town centre or the Vodafone store on the day of the incident. In particular, police are asking for any witnesses who noticed suspicious individuals, vehicles parked nearby, or any unusual activity during the night or early morning hours. Drivers who were in the area and have dashcam footage are also urged to check their recordings for anything that could assist the investigation.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary stated that commercial burglaries cause significant disruption to local businesses and the community. "We are carrying out enquiries and would like to hear from anyone who has any information about this burglary. Even the smallest detail could prove crucial to our investigation," the spokesperson added.
Anyone with information, mobile phone footage, or dashcam recordings is asked to contact Hampshire Police online or by calling 101, quoting the reference number provided by officers. Alternatively, reports can be made anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers.
