Police Patrol Vehicles Rammed in Portadown and Newry During Cross-Border Robbery Pursuit

A high-speed cross-border pursuit following a robbery has left multiple police patrol cars damaged after being rammed by suspects in Portadown and Newry. The incident began after a robbery was reported, leading to an immediate response from police forces who tracked the suspects' vehicle as it fled across the border.

During the chase, the suspects driving the getaway vehicle demonstrated a complete disregard for public safety. In their bid to escape, they rammed several police cars that had been deployed to block their path. The collisions caused substantial damage to the emergency vehicles, temporarily disabling them from the pursuit.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), in cooperation with An Garda Síochána, are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident. Authorities are appealing to anyone who was in the Portadown or Newry areas at the time and may have witnessed the chase or captured footage on their dashcams to come forward and assist in identifying those responsible.
