Police Pursuit of Burglary Suspects Ends in Crashes in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, CA — A burglary attempt in Long Beach led to a dramatic police response on Monday, resulting in two separate high-speed pursuits that both ended in vehicle crashes, authorities said.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers responded to a burglary in progress when they interrupted the suspects. In their attempt to escape, the suspects fled in separate directions, prompting officers to initiate two distinct vehicle pursuits.

Suspects Flee Following Collisions

Both pursuits ended abruptly when the fleeing vehicles crashed. However, the suspects managed to quickly abandon the vehicles and escape on foot before officers could apprehend them. A search of the surrounding areas was conducted, but no suspects have been detained at this time.
