Police Search for 'Croc Crew' Suspects in Houston Convenience Store Robbery

HOUSTON, Texas — The Houston Police Department has released surveillance video and is asking for public assistance to identify a group of suspects dubbed the "Croc Crew," who are wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a local convenience store.

The moniker stems from the distinctive footwear worn by several members of the robbery crew during the heist. According to investigators, the group entered the convenience store, threatened the clerk on duty, and demanded cash from the register. Surveillance footage shows the suspects, some of whom were wearing colorful Crocs-style slip-on shoes, working together to complete the robbery before fleeing the premises on foot.

Fortunately, the store clerk was not physically harmed during the incident, but authorities are eager to get the suspects off the streets before they target other businesses. "This group showed a coordinated effort, and their choice of footwear is a highly specific detail that we hope someone in the community will recognize," a police spokesperson stated.
