Police Search for Suspect Following Armed Robbery at Murfreesboro Dollar General

MURFREESBORO, Tennessee — Law enforcement officials are searching for an armed and dangerous suspect following a robbery at a Dollar General store in Murfreesboro.

According to the Murfreesboro Police Department, the incident occurred when an unidentified male entered the store, brandished a firearm, and demanded cash from the employees at the register. The suspect successfully obtained an undisclosed amount of currency before fleeing the scene on foot.

Responding officers established a perimeter and deployed K-9 units in an attempt to track the suspect, but the search yielded no immediate results. The suspect is described as a male wearing dark clothing and a mask to conceal his face during the robbery.

Detectives are reviewing security camera footage from the store and neighboring businesses to trace the suspect's escape route and gather additional details. The police have released screenshots of the suspect and are asking anyone who recognizes the individual or who was in the area at the time of the robbery to step forward with information.

No injuries were reported during the encounter. Law enforcement warns the public not to approach the suspect if spotted, as he is considered armed and dangerous, and instead call 911 immediately.
