Residential burglary reported in Fauldhouse
According to an article published by Edinburghlive on 30 May 2026, Police Scotland are searching for a suspect following a house break-in in Fauldhouse. The incident occurred on Lanrigg Road on Thursday, 28 May, with officers receiving reports that access was gained to the property at approximately 11:45 pm.
The suspect is described as a white male, between 5ft 8in and 6ft tall, with a stocky build. He was reportedly wearing a hat, a face covering, black gloves, black shoes, trousers, and a zipper jacket featuring light-coloured shoulder patches.
Detective Constable Steven Smith stated that enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the event. Authorities are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who possesses relevant private CCTV or dash cam footage, to contact the police by calling 101 and quoting reference 4080 of 28 May 2026.
