Police Search for Suspects in Series of Thefts and Assaults at Twin Liquors Locations in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying suspects involved in a string of recent thefts and robberies targeting Twin Liquors retail locations across the city, including stores in Central Austin and the Mueller development.

Authorities have reported a pattern of retail crime at these locations. In one incident at the Central Austin store, a male suspect reportedly entered the establishment, stole merchandise, and deliberately destroyed store property before fleeing. In another, more confrontational incident at a nearby location, a suspect stole a beverage and subsequently assaulted a store employee when confronted.

More recently, the Mueller Twin Liquors store was targeted twice in a short span of time. Surveillance footage caught a suspect stealing multiple high-value liquor bottles on one occasion, and police are seeking another suspect in a separate theft case at the same store. APD is treating these incidents seriously and is asking anyone with information regarding these thefts, or who can identify the individuals from security photos, to contact the APD Robbery Unit.
