Police Search for Suspects in Theft of Puppy from Knoxville Pet Store

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify and locate two suspects involved in the theft of a valuable puppy from a local Knoxville specialty pet store.

According to store employees and surveillance footage, the incident occurred during regular business hours when a man and a woman entered the shop. While one suspect distracted the store staff by asking questions about pet accessories, the second suspect managed to remove a young puppy from its enclosure.

The two suspects then quickly exited the store and fled the parking lot in an unidentified vehicle. Store management noticed the missing puppy shortly after their departure and immediately contacted local law enforcement.

"We are deeply concerned for the health and safety of the puppy, as young dogs require specific care, nutrition, and medical attention," the store manager said in a statement. "We hope someone recognizes the individuals in the security footage so we can bring this puppy back safely."

The Knoxville Police Department has released screenshots from the store's security cameras showing the two suspects. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspects or the current whereabouts of the stolen puppy is urged to call KPD or contact local crime solvers.
