Police Seek Public Help After Armed Robbery of West Hartford Liquor Store

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Police are investigating an armed robbery at a local liquor store that occurred on Monday, January 29, 2024. Authorities have released surveillance footage in hopes that members of the public can help identify the suspect involved in the heist.

According to the West Hartford Police Department, officers responded to the business on Monday afternoon following reports of an armed robbery. An initial investigation revealed that the suspect entered the store, brandished a handgun at the employee, and demanded cash from the register. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the scene on foot.

No injuries were reported during the encounter, though the employee was left visibly shaken. The suspect is described as wearing dark clothing and a mask to conceal his identity. Anyone with information is urged to contact West Hartford police detectives.
