Businesses in Ballymena town centre are on high alert following a series of burglaries that have prompted a police appeal and increased patrols in the commercial district. Several premises were targeted over recent weeks, with intruders causing damage and stealing stock and cash.

According to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), the break-ins occurred under the cover of darkness. In each case, entry was forced through rear doors or windows. Police are investigating whether the crimes are linked and are currently analyzing forensic evidence gathered from the affected properties.
