PORT ST. LUCIE, FL — An armed bank robber who fled from Tampa is in custody following a high-speed, cross-county chase that ended on Interstate 95 in Port St. Lucie. The apprehension was made possible by the collaborative efforts of multiple law enforcement agencies, including a key intervention by a Polk County Sheriff's Office deputy.
