Prolific Telford thief rumbled by 'bag for life' fingerprints after burgling Farmfoods twice and trying to break into a Porsche

TELFORD, Shropshire — A prolific thief has been caught and brought to justice after leaving his fingerprints on a 'bag for life' during a series of raids in Telford.

The suspect targeted the Farmfoods store in Telford on two separate occasions, stealing various items. Not satisfied with shoplifting, he also attempted to break into a high-end Porsche vehicle nearby. However, his criminal spree came to an abrupt end when forensic investigators recovered a reusable shopping bag from one of the crime scenes. Fingerprint analysis of the bag matched the suspect's profile on the national database, leading to his swift arrest by West Mercia Police.

The suspect has been charged with multiple counts of burglary, attempted theft from a motor vehicle, and shoplifting. He has been remanded in custody pending his appearance in court.
