Raleigh Police Respond to Wells Fargo Robbery, Marking Second Bank Heist in a Single Week

RALEIGH, North Carolina — Detectives with the Raleigh Police Department are investigating a brazen bank robbery that took place at a Wells Fargo branch on Friday, August 2, 2024. The incident marks the second time a bank in the city has been hit by robbers in the span of just one week.

According to police reports, officers responded to a distress call at the Wells Fargo location following reports of an active robbery. A suspect reportedly entered the bank lobby and demanded money from the tellers.
