Ram raid at a supermarket in Cropwell Bishop

According to an article published on 3 October 2025 by Nottinghampost, police have launched an investigation following a ram raid at a Co-op store in Nottingham Road, Cropwell Bishop. The incident occurred at approximately 12.50am on Friday.

Nottinghampost reports that thieves used a telehandler to smash into the front of the building to steal a cash machine. While the machine was later located, authorities confirmed that a quantity of cash remains missing. The agricultural vehicle used in the raid was abandoned at the scene, and police are currently looking for a red pick-up truck believed to be involved in the crime.

The store has sustained significant damage to its storefront and shutters, forcing a temporary closure. Nottinghamshire Police are reviewing CCTV footage and have appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward, quoting incident number 35 of 3 October 2025. Local patrols have been increased to provide reassurance to the community.
