Ram-raid at Asda supermarket in Leek
Police investigate ram-raid at Leek supermarket
According to an article published by Stokesentinel on 29 January 2026, police have cordoned off an Asda supermarket located on Springfield Road in Leek, Staffordshire. Authorities were alerted to the scene at 3am following reports of a ram-raid.
Stokesentinel reports that a telehandler was found abandoned in the store's car park, which may have been used during the overnight incident. It appears that a cash machine was ripped away from the building during the burglary. As of this morning, the entrance to the branch remains blocked by police, and it is currently unknown when the store will reopen to the public.
Staffordshire Police have been approached for a statement regarding the investigation. Any witnesses or individuals with information are encouraged to contact the police on 101 or report anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555111.
Business owners should ensure that external cash machines and storefronts are monitored by high-quality surveillance systems and reinforced security barriers.
