Ram raid at clothing store in Livingston shopping centre
Ram raid reported at The Centre in Livingston
According to an article published by the Scottishdailyexpress on 17 March 2026, police are appealing for information following a ram raid at The Centre in Livingston. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, March 17.
Scottishdailyexpress reports that four men arrived at the east side of the shopping centre in a black Nissan Juke and a white Audi S5 at approximately 12:15 am. After initially failing to gain entry through a display window, the suspects used the Nissan Juke to smash through the glass doors of the centre. Once inside, the group stole several rails of designer clothing from a store and loaded the items into the Audi.
The suspects subsequently set the Nissan Juke on fire before fleeing the scene in the Audi. Emergency services attended the fire, which was extinguished shortly after. The Audi was later recovered near Dechmont with some of the stolen property inside, though the suspects remain at large. Police are currently working to establish the total value of the stolen goods and are urging anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
Business owners are encouraged to review their perimeter security and consider the installation of reinforced bollards to prevent vehicle-based intrusions.
