Ram-raid burglary at a toy shop in Cheddar

Somersetlive reports that the perpetrators used a silver Renault Twingo to force entry into the premises. CCTV footage captured two individuals, described as a man and a woman, using a plank of wood and the vehicle to breach the storefront. More than 200 items, primarily Jellycat stuffed animals and teddy bears, were stolen during the raid.

Avon and Somerset Police confirmed they were called to the scene at 4:42 am. Officers conducted a search of the area, and an investigation into the burglary is currently ongoing. The shop owners have since secured the property and resumed operations. Authorities are urging anyone with information or relevant footage to contact the police and quote reference number 5225090991. The business has also requested that the public report any suspicious listings of large quantities of these specific soft toys.
