ATM stolen in Leek supermarket ram-raid
According to an article published by Stokesentinel on 29 January 2026, an ATM was stolen from the Asda supermarket located on Springfield Road in Leek. Staffordshire Police were called to the scene at 1:20 am following reports of a burglary.
Stokesentinel reports that the suspects utilized a piece of plant machinery to remove the ATM before fleeing the scene in two Nissan pickup trucks. These vehicles, along with the machinery, had been reported stolen on 27 and 28 January. The two pickup trucks were later discovered burnt out on Tongue Lane, near Brown Edge, at approximately 2:15 am.
Staffordshire Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are requesting that anyone with relevant CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage contact them. Information can be provided by calling 101, quoting incident number 34 of 29 January, or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
Business owners are encouraged to review their site security measures and ensure that all access points and high-value equipment are properly monitored and secured.
