Ram-Raid Burglary at Naperville Apple Store: Suspects Steal Over $30K in Electronics

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Authorities are investigating a brazen "ram-raid" style burglary at the Apple Store in downtown Naperville, where three suspects crashed a vehicle through the front window and stole tens of thousands of dollars in electronic devices.

The incident took place in the early morning hours of April 10, 2024. According to the Naperville Police Department, a vehicle was deliberately driven through the glass storefront, allowing the perpetrators immediate entry into the retail space. Once inside, the three suspects targeted display tables, grabbing iPhones, iPads, and MacBook computers.

Police report that the suspects fled the scene in a second vehicle, leaving the crash vehicle behind. The total value of the stolen electronic merchandise is estimated to exceed $30,000, with additional substantial costs expected for the structural repair of the building. Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage from the store and surrounding downtown businesses to identify the suspects and the getaway vehicle.
