Ram-raid burglary at The Centre in Livingston
Ram-raid incident at The Centre in Livingston
According to an article published on 17 March 2026 by Edinburghlive, a masked gang targeted a designer clothing store at The Centre in Livingston. At approximately 12:15 am on Tuesday, 17 March, four men dressed in black arrived at the east side of the shopping centre in a black Nissan Juke and a white Audi S5.
The group smashed an external display window before using the Nissan Juke to break through bollards and glass doors to gain entry to the premises. The suspects proceeded to steal several rails of luxury goods from the Flannels store, loading the items into the Audi. Before fleeing the scene in the direction of Almondvale Road, the men set the Nissan Juke on fire. Edinburghlive reports that the vehicle was later towed away from the site under a tarpaulin. The getaway Audi was subsequently recovered by police on the outskirts of Dechmont, with a portion of the stolen goods found inside. Detectives are currently continuing their search for the suspects.
Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures, including the installation of reinforced bollards and high-quality surveillance systems, to deter unauthorized vehicle access.
