Ram-Style Burglary at East Indianapolis Fireworks Store Caught on Camera

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) has released dramatic surveillance footage showing a vehicle crashing through the storefront of a fireworks retailer on the city's east side.

The incident, which occurred in the early hours of July 2, 2025, involved multiple suspects who used a car to smash through the front doors of the business. The surveillance video captures the moment the vehicle backs up and repeatedly rams the building, causing extensive structural damage to the entryway and glass facade. Once inside, the perpetrators quickly ransacked the store, loading merchandise into the vehicle before fleeing the scene before police could arrive.

IMPD officers arrived shortly after an alarm was triggered, finding the storefront completely destroyed. Detectives are now analyzing the video evidence to identify both the suspects and the getaway vehicle, which is believed to have been stolen. Business owners in the area have expressed growing frustration over the rising trend of smash-and-grab style commercial burglaries.
