According to an article published by ITV, it has been 20 years since a significant burglary took place at a secure depot in Tonbridge, Kent. The event, which occurred on 22 February 2006, involved the theft of £53 million.

ITV reports that the gang responsible for the raid was eventually apprehended and jailed. However, despite the legal proceedings, over half of the stolen cash was never recovered.
