Repeat residential burglaries reported in Cardiff

Series of thefts reported at Cardiff residence

According to an article published by Walesonline on 26 April 2026, a family home located on Cowbridge Road West in Ely, Cardiff, has been targeted by thieves on four separate occasions since December. The incidents have resulted in the loss of various items, including a hose, a stone statue, garden furniture, and a garden gate.

Walesonline reports that the residents have captured footage of the suspects on a doorbell camera, showing individuals attempting to remove property from the garden. The most recent incident occurred on Saturday, April 18, when the family's front gate was stolen. South Wales Police confirmed that four thefts have been reported at this location over the last five months. Despite conducting CCTV analysis and house-to-house enquiries, the individuals responsible have not yet been identified.

Police have requested that anyone with information regarding these incidents contact them, quoting reference number 2600119265. The family noted that other properties on the same street have also experienced similar thefts of garden gates.
