Musical equipment stolen from Moira residence

According to an article published by Belfastlive on 29 November 2025, a musician has reported the theft of his entire studio collection following a burglary at his home in the Halfpenny Gate Road area of Moira.

The victim, Johnny Vans, discovered the break-in upon returning home in the early hours of Friday, 28 November. According to Belfastlive, the stolen items include dozens of instruments and pieces of equipment, some of which hold significant sentimental value, including a guitar featuring his daughter's handprint and an instrument he had owned for over 30 years.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland confirmed they received a report of the burglary at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Friday. Authorities believe the theft occurred between 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, 27 November, and the time of the report. Police are currently conducting enquiries and have requested that anyone with information contact them quoting reference number 74 of 28/11/25.
