According to an article published by Derbyshiretimes on 15 February 2026, police are investigating a burglary that occurred at a private home in Moira Road, Overseal. On Saturday, 31 January, at approximately 7:08 pm, at least three individuals gained entry to the property.

Derbyshiretimes reports that the suspects stole a variety of valuables, including jewellery, a watch, designer handbags, and a laptop. The offenders were seen fleeing the scene at roughly 7:15 pm, carrying pillowcases and heading toward Bath Lane and Short Heath. Officers are currently conducting extensive enquiries and are appealing to the public for assistance.
