Residential burglary in Thorpe Willoughby

According to an article published by Yorkpress on 18 February 2026, burglars targeted a private home in the village of Thorpe Willoughby, near Selby. The incident occurred at approximately 1:50 am on 17 February.

Yorkpress reports that the intruders forced entry into an address on Orchard Way and stole a distinctive blue-coloured Yamaha YZ off-road motorcycle. North Yorkshire Police have released the vehicle's VIN number, JYACJ26C000017602, as part of their ongoing investigation.

Authorities are requesting that anyone with information regarding the location of the motorcycle, or anyone who has been offered it for sale, contact North Yorkshire Police by calling 101 and asking for Joshua Scott, or by emailing [email protected]. Witnesses are asked to quote reference number 12260029447 when providing information.
