Residential Burglary on East Vine Street Leads to Charges for Millersville Man
Vine Street Home Invasion Burgled: Suspect Caught on Camera Rolling Suitcases
LANCASTER, PA — A residential burglary on the first block of East Vine Street has resulted in charges against Cameron Kohler, a Millersville man already facing charges for a commercial break-in in Lancaster City. The home burglary occurred between August 2 and August 3, 2025.
The Burglary
According to police logs, the suspect gained unlawful entry into the East Vine Street home while the occupants were away. Inside, the intruder ransacked several rooms, stealing multiple items of value, including personal electronics, jewelry, and clothing. The thief then packed the stolen goods into the residents' own suitcases before leaving the premises.
Captured on Security Footage
The Lancaster Safety Coalitionโs street cameras captured high-definition footage of Kohler leaving the vicinity of the East Vine Street residence. Crucially, the video showed him rolling two large suitcases that matched the description of items stolen from the home. This footage proved key in linking Kohler to the crime, leading to his identification and arrest.
"Seeing a suspect walk down the street rolling the victims' own stolen suitcases on camera is a significant piece of evidence that made identifying the perpetrator much easier."
Legal Status
Kohler faces charges of Burglary, Criminal Trespass, and Theft by Unlawful Taking. The residential break-in charges have been consolidated with the charges stemming from a separate burglary at a Walnut Street commercial business. Kohler is currently awaiting his preliminary hearing.
