Home invasion reported in Grimsby

According to an article published by Grimsbylive on 27 September 2025, a heavily pregnant woman was the victim of a home burglary in a flat on Freeman Street, Grimsby. The incident occurred on 3 February of this year when three men forced entry into the residence at 4am.

Grimsbylive reports that the intruders stole various items, including perfume, aftershave, food, alcohol, and the victim's maternity bag containing essential items for her upcoming labour. The perpetrators also caused significant damage to the property, including a smashed television, a damaged soundbar, and harm to the cooker and washing machine.

The suspects—Richard Plumridge, Salioui Cole, and Spencer Nyamasvisva—were apprehended at the scene after two police officers, who were nearby attending to an unrelated matter, heard the victim’s screams. All three men subsequently admitted to the burglary at Grimsby Crown Court. The victim expressed deep fear for her safety and that of her unborn child during the ordeal.
