Residential burglary reported on Cobham Road in North London

Intruder enters North London home

According to an article published by Mylondon on 12 June 2024, a burglary occurred at a private residence on Cobham Road, N22. The incident took place on Monday, 10 June, while the residents were inside the property.

Mylondon reports that the intruder gained access to the house by obtaining keys from an external keysafe. The homeowners discovered the front door open and subsequently reported the incident to the Metropolitan Police at 2:05pm. While the residents were able to escape the property safely, they later discovered that unauthorized purchases had been made on their credit cards.

Officers attended the scene, but no suspects were found on the premises. The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that enquiries into the matter are ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information, or those who may have relevant camera footage, to contact the police by calling 101 or reaching out via X at @MetCC, quoting reference CAD3833/10JUN. Information can also be provided anonymously through the charity Crimestoppers.

To enhance residential security, homeowners are advised to avoid storing spare keys in external safes, as these can be targeted by opportunistic intruders.
