Residential property targeted in Barlanark, Glasgow

According to an article published by Dailyrecord, a private home in the Barlanark area of Glasgow was targeted in a suspected gangland revenge attack on 18 June 2026. A vehicle was driven into the property in the early hours of the morning and subsequently set on fire.

Emergency crews attended the scene after flames spread from the vehicle to the front door of the end-terrace house. Dailyrecord reports that the incident is being treated as deliberate by police, who have since taped off the property. The same house was reportedly targeted in February, when a vehicle was previously rammed into the side of the building.

Witnesses reported seeing two men in the area shortly before the incident, which is believed to be connected to recent criminal activity involving rival factions in Edinburgh. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the attack are ongoing.
