Roanoke Police Release Photos of Suspect in Gas Station Shooting

ROANOKE, VA — The Roanoke Police Department has released surveillance photographs of a suspect sought in connection with a shooting at a local gas station on Thursday afternoon, October 30, 2025.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired at a convenience store and gas station on Williamson Road at approximately 2:30 p.m. Upon arrival, police discovered evidence of gunfire, and a victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect had already fled the scene before officers arrived.

Detectives have been reviewing security footage from the store's cameras and have identified a person of interest. In an effort to generate leads, police have made several surveillance still images public. The photos show a suspect wearing distinctive clothing standing near the entrance of the convenience store shortly before the shooting occurred.

Call for Public Assistance

Anyone who recognizes the individual in the photographs or has any information about the shooting is asked to call the Roanoke Police Department's tip line at (540) 344-8500. Tips can be kept entirely confidential.

"Public cooperation is essential in cases like this. Even a small detail that seems insignificant could be the key to identifying this individual and bringing them to justice," a spokesperson for the Roanoke Police Department said in a statement.
