Robbed at Gunpoint Over a 'Booted' Car: Two Suspects Apprehended in Lenox Shopping District Armed Robbery

ATLANTA, GA — A shopping trip in Atlanta's upscale Buckhead district took a terrifying turn when two victims were held at gunpoint after discovering their vehicle had been booted. The Atlanta Police Department has arrested 22-year-old Isaac Phillips and 25-year-old Jaquarez Parks, charging them with armed robbery and firearm offenses in connection with the incident outside the Lenox shopping area.

A Predatory Scheme

The incident occurred on Saturday evening, May 23, 2026. The victims returned to their vehicle in a parking lot near Lenox Square and found it immobilized by a metal wheel boot. According to police warrants, Phillips and Parks approached the victims and offered to illegally remove the boot for a cash fee. When the victims declined their services, the interaction quickly turned violent.

Phillips allegedly brandished a gray and black pistol equipped with an extended magazine and demanded the victims' personal belongings. The suspects robbed the victims of high-end designer clothing—including Casa Blanca and Purple brand apparel—as well as cash and an orange iPhone 17. The suspects further coerced one of the victims into sending a $140 payment via Zelle before fleeing the parking lot in a silver Toyota Corolla.

Swift Investigation and Arrest

A witness captured the suspects' escape vehicle on video, providing investigators with a critical lead. Atlanta Police detectives tracked the vehicle to an apartment complex on Donnelly Avenue SW. A search warrant executed at the residence resulted in the recovery of the stolen designer clothes, the victims' electronics, and the firearm matching the description of the one used in the robbery. Phillips and Parks are currently being held without bond in the Fulton County Jail.
