Robbers Target Luxury Vehicles Leaving Newport Beach's Fashion Island

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Authorities are investigating a daring attempted armed robbery targeting the occupants of two luxury vehicles leaving the Fashion Island shopping district in Newport Beach.

According to police reports, two men driving a Ferrari and a Rolls-Royce were followed by a group of suspects shortly after exiting the shopping center. The suspects, described as driving a dark-colored SUV, attempted to block the high-end sports cars at an intersection and confronted the drivers.
