Robbery at Mobile Citi in Widnes
According to an article published by Liverpoolecho on 8 October 2025, a robbery occurred at the Mobile Citi shop located on Albert Square in Widnes. The incident took place on Friday, October 3, at approximately 2:41pm.
Liverpoolecho reports that a man wearing a black balaclava, a black jumper, and black trousers entered the premises, jumped over the counter, and assaulted a shop worker. The individual then fled the scene with seven mobile phones. Following an investigation by Cheshire Police, 35-year-old Glynn Abbott of Browning Avenue, Widnes, was charged in connection with the robbery. He is scheduled to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court today.
