Robbery incident in Alderley Edge

According to an article published by the BBC on 7 April 2025, a man has been charged following a robbery involving the wife of Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana. Melanie Kamayou was targeted outside the San Carlo restaurant in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, on 29 March.

The BBC reports that items stolen during the incident included a Rolex watch and an Hermes bag. Cheshire Police confirmed that Liam Ross, 25, of High Street in Wibsey, Bradford, was arrested on 2 April. He appeared before Chester Magistrates' Court on Friday, where he was charged with one count of robbery and one count of being concerned in the supply of cannabis. Mr. Ross is scheduled to appear at Chester Crown Court on 2 May.
