ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) โ A 25-year-old Rockford man has been arrested and is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly carrying out two armed robberies in quick succession along 11th Street.
According to the Rockford Police Department, officers responded to the first report of an armed robbery around 6:00 p.m. at a local business, "Hip Hop Fashions," located on 11th Street. The suspect allegedly entered the store, brandished a handgun at the clerk, and demanded money from the cash register before fleeing the scene.
Only minutes later, police received a second 911 call reporting a robbery at a nearby Dunkin' Donuts, also situated on 11th Street.
