Rome Man Arrested and Charged with Armed Robbery of Local Convenience Store

ROME, GA — A Rome man has been booked into the Floyd County Jail following a reported armed robbery at a local convenience store, according to law enforcement officials. The incident occurred when a male suspect entered the business, brandished a weapon, and demanded cash from the register.

Rome Police Department officers quickly responded to the scene and launched an investigation. With the aid of surveillance footage and witness accounts, officers successfully identified and apprehended the suspect shortly after the incident.

The suspect has been charged with felony armed robbery and possession of a firearm or weapon during the commission of a crime.
