Salina Police Investigate 'Jackpotting' Attacks Rigging Local ATMs

SALINA, Kansas — The Salina Police Department has launched an investigation into a series of sophisticated electronic theft incidents known as "jackpotting" targeting automated teller machines (ATMs) across the city.

According to reports released on November 26, 2025, investigators identified multiple local ATMs that had been compromised by criminals utilizing specialized software and physical access tools.
