Scottsdale Art Theft Suspect Linked to West Hollywood Heist

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — A suspect under investigation for a high-profile art theft in Scottsdale, Arizona, has now been linked by law enforcement records to a similar art heist in West Hollywood, California.

According to investigative documents obtained by ABC15, the suspect's modus operandi and forensic evidence connect them directly to a prior incident in West Hollywood. In that case, valuable pieces of art were stolen from a local gallery or private residence, leaving investigators with few leads at the time.

The breakthrough came after Scottsdale police arrested the suspect following a recent art theft. A cross-jurisdictional check of records, security footage, and physical evidence revealed striking similarities between the Scottsdale incident and the unsolved West Hollywood heist, suggesting the suspect may be part of a larger, multi-state art theft operation.

Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's West Hollywood Station are collaborating with Scottsdale authorities to build a comprehensive case. Investigators are working to track down the stolen artwork, which is believed to have been moved across state lines for resale on the black market.
