Scranton Man Charged with First-Degree Murder Following Fatal Robbery Shooting

SCRANTON, Pennsylvania — A Scranton man is facing grave legal consequences after being charged with first-degree murder and related offenses in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred during an attempted robbery, prosecutors and local authorities announced.

The charges stem from an incident where police were dispatched to the scene of a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim suffering from severe gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate efforts of emergency medical responders and hospital staff, the victim succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead.
