Search Underway for Suspect After Woman Shot During ATM Robbery in Renton

Renton police officers are actively searching for a suspect who shot a woman during an attempted robbery at a local ATM, leaving her injured before fleeing the scene, authorities reported.

The incident occurred when the victim was using an outdoor automated teller machine. According to investigators, the suspect approached the woman, brandished a firearm, and demanded cash. During the confrontation, the suspect discharged the weapon, striking the victim. The assailant then fled the area before officers could arrive on the scene.

First responders treated the victim at the scene before she was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
