Second Man Charged in South Kansas City Convenience Store Homicide

KANSAS CITY, MO — The Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) and local prosecutors have announced that a second suspect has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a convenience store owner in south Kansas City.

The tragedy occurred on February 10, 2025, when armed suspects entered the local convenience store with the intent to commit robbery. During the course of the crime, the business owner was shot and killed. The incident sent shockwaves through the local business community, prompting calls for increased security and swifter police intervention in commercial corridors.
