Security Cameras Capture Second Burglary at Northwest Side Chicago Restaurant

CHICAGO — A restaurant owner on Chicago's Northwest Side is calling for enhanced public safety measures after surveillance cameras captured their establishment being burglarized for the second time in recent months.

The latest incident occurred during the early hours of the morning when security cameras recorded suspects breaking through the rear entrance of the restaurant. Once inside, the perpetrators quickly rummaged through the register and storage areas, taking cash and electronic equipment before escaping.

The business owner expressed deep frustration over the repeat victimization, noting the high costs of repairing damage and replacing stolen items. "It is disheartening to work so hard to build a business only to be targeted repeatedly. We need more police patrols and security in this area to protect small businesses," the owner stated.

Chicago police confirmed they are investigating the break-in and comparing the surveillance footage with the previous burglary to determine if the incidents are connected. Business owners in the area are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
