Serial Break-ins Target Northwest Indianapolis Coffee Shop and Local Businesses

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — A series of relentless break-ins has left business owners on Indianapolis's west and northwest sides feeling targeted and exhausted. Among the hardest hit is a local coffee shop, which has already been burglarized three times in recent months, alongside a nearby pet store that was also targeted in the latest overnight spree.

According to local police reports and business owners, the suspects broke into the establishments during the late-night hours, shattering windows and doors to gain entry. Once inside, the thieves focused their attention on the cash registers, quickly making off with the registers themselves and leaving behind significant property damage.

For the coffee shop, the latest incident represents a recurring nightmare. The business has now been hit three separate times, forcing the owners to repeatedly clean up shattered glass, board up entryways, and invest in increasingly costly security measures. "It is extremely frustrating," said a community member. "We are trying to run a business and support the local economy, but instead, we are spending our time and resources repairing damage from senseless crimes."

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is actively investigating the string of burglaries. Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage from the targeted businesses and surrounding areas in hopes of identifying the suspects.
